Leather Bound Book - Compass

This is my first try in binding a book in leather and it was a bit of learning experience.
Also you can somewhat see the compass star and the corner ornaments, but it didn't really turn out the way I wanted it. I'll definitly try this design again but with thinner leather. The one I used for this try was about 1,5mm thick and not really flexible.
What I like about the cover are the vertikal "scars" on the backside, which look a bit like the mark of claws if you use a bit of imagination
